Frequently asked questions
I can't find any butterflies
- Check that location access is allowed: iOS Settings → iButterfly → Location → "While Using the App".
- You can still play without camera access, but the background will not show the real world. Drag on the screen to look around.
- Each species appears in specific places. Many can only be found near stations or landmarks — check the Map screen to see what is nearby.
I changed devices and lost my collection
Without an account, save data is stored only on your device. Create an account before changing devices or reinstalling: Setting → Account. Afterwards, sign in on the new device with the same email address (or the same Apple ID / Google account) to restore your data.
If the data is already lost, unfortunately it cannot be recovered.
My purchase didn't appear
Try "Restore purchases" at the bottom of the Shop screen. If it still does not appear, contact us with your receipt (the email from Apple or your App Store purchase history).
I want to delete my account
You can do this in the app: Setting → Account → Delete account. This permanently erases your email address and save data from our servers. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
I forgot my password
Password reset is not available yet. If you can sign in to the same account with "Sign in with Apple" or "Sign in with Google", please use that. Otherwise, contact us.
I want to remove the ads
Ads only appear when you choose to watch one in exchange for a reward. Nothing is shown automatically. Buying Premium (a one-time purchase) in the Shop gives you the same benefits without watching ads.
A Super Rare butterfly escaped
Super Rare butterflies fly away after a while, then reappear later (from a few minutes up to about 30). You can bring one back immediately with a Recall Whistle or by watching an ad.
Playing safely
- Watch your surroundings while looking for butterflies. Avoid stairs, train platforms, crowds, and any place where you could be hurt.
- Do not use the app while walking.
- Hold your phone firmly when you swing it.
- Do not enter private property or restricted areas.
